Valentine, the surrounding Sandhills communities, and the Rosebud Sioux Reservation host a variety of events throughout the summer and fall. From country music festivals, rodeos, and antique car shows to the Cherry County Fair and carnival, demolition derbies, Pow-Wows, and Old West Days, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to experience the region’s culture, heritage, and small-town fun.

- Catch & Release Fishing — Try your luck in our private 38-acre lake and marsh, stocked with largemouth bass and sunfish, perfect for a leisurely afternoon on the water.
- Hiking & Wildlife — Wander scenic trails surrounded by nature, with excellent opportunities for photography, birdwatching and wildlife viewing.
- Yard Games & Gatherings — Challenge friends and family to games on the lawn, then come together at the firepit for stories under a star-filled sky.
- Biking — Bring your bikes and hop on the famous Cowboy Trail, just a short ride away. Pedal into Valentine (about 5 miles) to explore local shops, enjoy a meal, or simply take in the Nebraska scenery.
Looking for a bigger adventure? Plan a day trip to the Badlands of South Dakota. With an early start, you can explore its dramatic landscapes, stop at the world-famous Wall Drug Store, and still make it back in time for supper.
